Since I am in the U.S. with not as much funds to trek to Comiket or much of the other manga festivals in Japan. I can definitely say that for American fans, unless a Japanese mangaka clears room in his/her schedule and a convention is close to you. Better take that opportunity!
I spent the entire morning reading other Shojo Beat titles, and thought about using this as a trap image, but thought that it would be misleading and insulting for my shitajiki, and should be writing something about the other titles .. in rush for Shojo Beat MMF.
Still, I can’t help but once again fangirl and thank Kris profusely for getting Arina Tanemura’s sign for me. Arina Tanemura is definitely a mangaka I would go nuts for just because I happen to enjoy her artwork, and reading her style of shojo, compared to Watase Yuu.
The mangaka happened to visit at the recent Anime Fest 2012 at Texas, so *drum rolls*… my shitajiki along with a special postcard that was given out for fans at the convention. Well I mentally bopped around the room…. I can’t believe that a New York fan would be able to get something as special as this. ^_^
Something to make this not just me going around using this as a bragging post, but I was pretty amused as I read through Tanemura’s tweets over the weekend. She tweeted about food, cosplay and more food. LOL.. she’s a foodie. These are tweets from Sept 1-3 and photos that stood out for me of her experiences, and no way is this her complete experience.
